Rhythmic Gymnastics Group Gains Valuable Experience in Baku

Katherine Uchida from Toronto, ON was Canada’s lone individual athlete and put her best foot forward in all four events. Uchida’s best performance came in her hoop routine where she scored 14.150 points.

The Canadian group from Toronto, ON comprising of Elizabet Belittchenko, Renna Cukier, Cleo Page, Vanessa Panov, Alexandra Udachina and Anastasia Shanko performed their new routines in both events. The group finished in ninth place overall in both the five hoops routine and three balls and two ropes routine, just missing the finals.

Uchida and the rhythmic group will all compete again next weekend at the World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Rhythmic Gymnastics Canadian Championships will be held May 18 – 21 in Edmonton, AB.
