Nine medals for Canada on final day of Artistic Jr. Pan American Championships

Laval’s Félix Dolci was the top Canadian, winning a medal in all three of his apparatus finals. Dolci scored 13.450 on rings to capture the gold medal while also scoring 13.250 on floor and 12.950 on high bar to secure two additional bronze medals, bringing his competition total to five medals.

“Félix’s performances today solidified his return following a tough year with many injuries,” said Dolci’s coach Adrian Balan. “We’re going to use this experience as momentum for this season. We achieved our goals for this competition and are excited for Félix’s future with Team Canada.”

Teammate Félix Blaquiere of Montreal, QC stood atop the podium in the pommel horse final with a score of 12.225, just .025 ahead of the Brazilian in second place. Blaquiere also joined Dolci on the podium in the rings final, capturing the bronze medal with a score of 12.875.

In the women’s apparatus finals, all-around silver medallist Zoé Allaire-Bourgie of Montreal, QC dominated the competition in the beam final, scoring 13.800 points to secure the gold medal. Allaire-Bourgie also scored 13.225 on uneven bars to capture the bronze medal.

“Zoé is super excited to finish her season with a fifth consecutive victory on beam, two of which were for a team competition,” said Allaire-Bourgie’s coach Katerine Dussault. 

Mia St. Pierre of Chateauguay, QC scored 12.775 on floor to finish with bronze on that event, while Imogen Paterson of Vancouver, BC scored 13.713 in the vault final to also take home a bronze medal.
