Spence captures bronze in vault final at Youth Olympic Games

After finishing tenth in Friday’s all-around final, Spence was able to regroup and put her best foot forward in the vault final scoring 13.483 points.

“I’m overall very happy with how today went,” said Spence following competition. “I’ve been working really hard at the gym on my vaults and I’m glad that it paid off today!”

Spence will compete in the floor and beam apparatus finals on Monday for a chance at two more medals.

“I’m so excited about this moment,” said Emma’s coach Denis Vachon. “Emma is an insanely hard worker who deserved this success. Tonight, we celebrate her success and tomorrow we go back to focusing for beam and floor finals.”
