Amanda Zevnik announced as National Events Director for Gymnastics Canada

“Amanda brings to our organization a solid track record of national event management and leadership,” said Ian Moss, CEO of Gymnastics Canada. “Her experience and perspective will be a valuable addition to our staff leadership team as we build a stronger position for the sport of gymnastics in the public eye and continue to build a higher value proposition for our members.”

“I am so excited to be joining the Gymnastics Canada family leading into such an important year,” said Zevnik, a Montreal native who is fully bilingual and is a graduate of McGill University. “GymCan hosts world class events and I cannot wait to be a part of it all. I am looking forward to working with the team and getting to know everyone better in the New Year.”

Zevnik joins GymCan with experience and knowledge gained from organizing the swimming test events for the 2015 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games, as well as the 2016 Canadian Olympic and Para-swimming Trials and various national junior and senior Championships. She was also the competition manager for the FINA World Swimming Championships which were hosted in Windsor, ON in 2016.

In her new role, Zevnik will be responsible for leading and executing the vision for GymCan’s national and international hosting strategy in order to best position the sport of gymnastics in the public eye while properly managing the technical outcomes of all events and competitions to the satisfaction of our various stakeholders.

Please join us in welcoming Amanda to the team.
