Canadian team announced for the 2021 World Age Group Trampoline Gymnastics Competitions

Qualification for these championships was a two-part qualification process, where the ranking was based on results from two domestic events: Elite Canada, and Canadian Championships. Athletes who are over the age of 18 were selected to be named to the team to compete in the 18-21 age category.  The decision was made to send team members in this category only for this year due to the ongoing challenges with the world pandemic.

“We are very excited that our World Age Group Athletes will have the opportunity to compete on the world stage after the challenges faced with Covid and its restrictions,” said Karen Cockburn, Head of Delegation, “This event marks an important part in our athletes’ development to continue on their path of High Performance.”

Canada will be participating in the World Age Group Competitions in individual trampoline, synchronized trampoline, double-mini trampoline, and tumbling. The event will take place at the MGA – Milli Gimnastika Arenasi (National Gymnastics Arena) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
