MacLennan makes her return to competition at Trampoline World Cup in Russia
KHABAROVSK, RUS (September 22, 2019) – Two-time Olympic gold medallist and reigning World Champion Rosie MacLennan of King City, ON made her return to competition this weekend at a World Cup in Russia after breaking her ankle earlier this spring. She finished a strong 18th against a talented field in the individual competition and finished 8th in the synchronized finals with Sarah Milette of Montreal, QC. Jérémy Chartier of Montreal was the top-finisher on the men’s side – also finishing 18th overall in the individual competition.
Marois captures double bronze at gymnastics World Challenge Cup in Portugal
GUIMARÃES, POR (September 22, 2019) – 2018 World Championships team member Sophie Marois of Montreal, QC captured two bronze medals over the weekend at a World Challenge Cup in Portugal after qualifying for three out of four finals. Imogen Paterson of Vancouver also qualified for three finals, but narrowly missed the podium, nabbing two fourth-place finishes, and a seventh-place.
Individual competition wraps up for Canada at 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
