Milette wins third straight Senior Women’s Elite Canada trampoline title

CALGARY, AB (May 4, 2019) – Sarah Milette of Longueuil, QC won her third straight senior women’s Elite Canada trampoline title on Saturday evening at the 2019 Elite Canada in Trampoline Gymnastics competition taking place at the Genesis Centre in Calgary, AB, while Keegan Soehn of Red Deer, AB captured his first senior men’s individual trampoline title since 2012.

Strong performances for Canadian rhythmic gymnasts at World Challenge Cup in Spain

GUADALAJARA, ESP (May 4, 2019) – The Canadian senior rhythmic group competed in their second international competition this weekend at a World Challenge Cup in Guadalajara, ESP and laid down two strong performances to finish 11th overall. Newly minted seniors Natalie Garcia of Missisauga, ON and Polly Krivchun of Vancouver, BC also competed in their first senior World Challenge Cup and had strong results.

Meet Our Champions – Jon Schwaiger

Jon Schwaiger won a record seventh consecutive national title in senior men’s tumbling on the final day of the 2018 Canadian Championships, while also becoming the Canadian senior champion in men’s double mini-trampoline. A national team member since 2011, Jon has won five World Championship medals, including bronze in the team event in 2018. He is also a two-time World Games team member, finishing fourth in tumbling and DMT in 2017, and sixth in tumbling in 2013. Senior Rhythmic Group makes international debut at World Cup in Baku

BAKU, AZE (April 28, 2019) – Canada’s new senior national rhythmic gymnastics group made their international debut this weekend at a World Cup competition in Baku, AZE and with several new members including former individual senior Canadian champion Carmen Whelan, and former Estonian national team member Carmel Kallemaa added to the mix, the competition offered the group the chance to work out the kinks and begin to build towards qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Individual athletes Sophie Crane and Katherine Uchida, both of Toronto, also competed and finished 41st and 52nd respectively in the all-around competition.
