Tatiana Cocsanova crowned 2021 Canadian senior rhythmic gymnastics champion
OTTAWA, ON (October 8, 2021) – The 2021 Canadian Championships in rhythmic gymnastics wrapped up on October 2 with Tatiana Cocsanova (Quebec) taking the top spot in the senior high-performance category. Karina Kamenetsky (Ontario) captured first place in the junior high-performance category and Jana Aleman (Ontario) finished first in the novice category.
Mitchel Pedersen captures first senior all-around titles in both tumbling and double-mini trampoline at 2021 Virtual Elite Canada in trampoline gymnastics
OTTAWA, ON (September 27th, 2021) – The 2021 Elite Canada in trampoline gymnastics wrapped up earlier this month with Mitchel Pedersen (Calgary Gymnastics Centre) taking the top spot in both senior double-mini trampoline and senior tumbling. Nathan Shuh (Skyriders) and Rachel Tam (Skyriders) captured first place finishes in trampoline. Hannah Metheral (T&T Adventure) took first in women’s double-mini trampoline.
Brooklyn Moors finishes 16th in women’s all-around competition at Tokyo Olympics
TOKYO, JPN (July 29, 2021) – Brooklyn Moors of Cambridge, ON took to the competition floor on Thursday at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre in Tokyo, JPN in the women’s all-around finals and laid down four solid routines to finish the day in 16th position.
Canadian women’s artistic gymnastics team advances to multiple event finals in Tokyo
TOKYO, JPN (July 25, 2021) – Brooklyn Moors of Cambridge, ON and Ellie Black of Halifax, NS led team Canada to a 10th place finish in the qualification round of women’s artistic gymnastics Sunday in Tokyo, missing out on advancing to the team finals. Both advanced to the individual all-around final finishing 22nd and 24th respectively.
Cournoyer Kicks-off Olympic Gymnastics Competition in Tokyo
TOKYO, JPN (July 24, 2021) – Rene Cournoyer of Repentigny, QC opened up the gymnastics competition for Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Saturday, competing in the qualifying rounds of men’s artistic gymnastics where he ended the day in 49th position in the all-around competition – unfortunately not advancing to any finals.
