Meet our Champions – Félix Dolci

How did you first get involved in gymnastics?

When I was 5, my mother proposed the idea of trying a new sport… gymnastics, because hockey, soccer, ski, etc., never succeeded in using up my energy.

How many hours of training do you have to put in daily?

5 hours a day, 6 days a week (30 hours).

What about gymnastics has kept you interested in the sport?

Having the opportunity to push myself to my limits, and the competition.

What has been your greatest accomplishment in your gymnastics career so far?

My medal at the Youth Olympic Games in October 2018.

What is your favourite event?

My best apparatus is floor, but I love all apparatuses!

Describe yourself in three words.

Persevering, competitive and determined.

What’s the best advice you have ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received came from my coach. He told me, “listen to your coach”!

What are your goals for this year?

My most important goal is to finish in the top 3 AA, at the 2019 Junior World Championships.

What do you hope to achieve in the sport?

To be the best I can be, and to reach the highest standards of world gymnastics.
