Bezzoubenko wins bronze in the rhythmic all-around competition; Whelan 6th. Senior group finishes 5th.

Bezzoubenko dropped the ribbon early in her routine today at the Toronto Coliseum but still held on to finish third with a total of 60.399. Americans Laura Zeng and Jasmine Kerber took gold and silver with total scores of 64.575 and 62.200 respectively. Whelan’s total score was 58.791.

Whelan qualified for the apparatus finals in all four apparatus: hoop, ball, club, and ribbons, while Bezzoubenko will complete in everything except the hoop finals. The hoop and ball finals start at 10AM EST on Sunday, while the finals for clubs and ribbons start at 10AM EST on Monday.

The senior group featuring Katrina Cameron, Maya Kojevnikov, Lucinda Nowell, Vanessa Panov, and Anjelika & Victoria Reznik finished 5th today in the all-around finals with a total of 23.450. Brazil took the gold with a total of 30.233; USA silver with 29.275; and Cuba the bronze with 25.692. The group will return for the ribbons final at 11:50AM EST on Sunday, and the clubs/hoops final at 11:50AM EST on Monday.
