The Brazilian team took the gold with a score of 15.000 and the USA took silver with a score of 13.283.
Earlier in the day, Carmen Whelan (ON) finished 5th in the hoop final with a score of 14.633. Americans Laura Zeng and Jasmine Kerber took gold and silver respectively with scores of 16.833 and 16.300. Brazilian Angelia Kvieczynski took bronze with a score of 15.358.
In the ball finals, Whelan again put in a great performance and just missed making the podium finishing fourth with a score of 14.817. Bronze medallist in the all-around finals, Patricia Bezzoubenko, finished 7th with a score of 14.283. Zeng and Kerber of the USA again took gold and silver respectively with scores of 16.833 and 16.100. Bronze went to Karla Diaz Amal from Mexico with a score of 15.267.
The group will compete in the clubs/hoops final at 11:50AM EST Monday while Bezzoubenko and Whelan will compete in the clubs and ribbons finals starting at 10:00AM EST and 10:45AM EST.
