Pan American Games team members Patricia Bezzoubenko and Carmen Whelan competed at the Budapest World Cup and placed 25th and 41st respectively in the individual all-around qualification round. Whelan then placed 34th at the Sofia World Cup, joined by Katherine Uchida who was competing at her first World Cup event and placed 32nd. Bezzoubenko did not compete.

Bezzoubenko was the only gymnast to compete in the individual competition at the Kazan WC and finished 21st.

“This was such an amazing experience,” said Uchida. “At first it was very overwhelming being next to some of the best gymnasts in the World, however, the environment and energy was completely different and made me feel more excited to perform.”
