The Canadian gymnastics community reacts to criminal charges against Claude Aubertin

“We are obviously shocked and saddened by this news, and are cooperating fully with the ongoing police investigation,” said Richard Crépin, Chair of the Board of Directors of Gymnastics Canada, and President of the Organizing Committee for the 2017 World Championships in artistic gymnastics, and board member of Gymnastique Quebec. “In accordance with Gymnastics Canada’s policies and procedures, Mr. Aubertin was immediately suspended from our Boards, pending the outcome of the judicial process.”

The Federations’ Boards pursue their efforts towards providing quality and safe gymnastics programs that enable athletes to live a positive experience through which they can grow.
