Garcia captures silver in clubs to close out Pan Am Games rhythmic competition
LIMA, PER (Aug 5, 2019) – Natalie Garcia of Mississauga, ON closed out her 2019 Pan American Games competition in style on Monday, capturing a silver medal with her clubs routine. Katherine Uchida of Toronto, ON finished sixth in both the clubs and ribbon finals, while the group also finished sixth with their 3 hoops and 2 pairs of clubs routine.
Double gold for Chartier & Smith on trampoline to close 2019 Pan Am Games gymnastics competition
LIMA, PER (Aug 5, 2019) – Jérémy Chartier of Montreal, QC and Samantha Smith of Vancouver, BC kept the Canadian gold medal-winning tradition at the Pan Am Games alive on Monday both finishing on top of the podium in their respective men’s and women’s competitions. Canada has won gold in women’s trampoline at every Pan American Games since it was introduced in 2007, and in the men’s competition since 2011.
Chartier, Milette, and Smith qualify for trampoline finals at 2019 Pan Am Games
LIMA, PER (Aug 4, 2019) – The Canadian trampoline team took to the competition floor at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, PER on Sunday, and despite some challenges, Jérémy Chartier of Montreal, QC, Sarah Milette of Longueuil, QC, and Samantha Smith of Vancouver, BC have all qualified for the finals on Monday.
Uchida captures two silver medals on first day of rhythmic apparatus finals at 2019 Pan Am Games
LIMA, PER (Aug 4, 2019) – Katherine Uchida of Toronto, ON came back with a vengeance on Sunday on the first of two days of apparatus finals in rhythmic gymnastics, capturing a silver medal in hoop, and another in ball. Natalie Garcia of Mississauga, ON finished sixth in both finals.
All-around competition wraps up in rhythmic gymnastics at 2019 Pan Am Games
