Canadian team announced for 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships & Jr Pan Am Championships
OTTAWA, ON (June 6, 2019) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce the list of athletes and coaches who will represent Canada at the 2019 Junior Pan American Championships in Monterrey, Mexico taking place from June 10th to 16th, and at the 1st 2019 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior World Championships in Moscow, Russia from July 19th to 21st.

Resignation of Alex Bard – National Team Coach (WAG)
This is to inform you that Mr. Alex Bard has resigned from his position of National Team Coach (WAG) for personal reasons. His resignation takes effect immediately. Alex has been instrumental as part of the leadership group for the WAG national team over the past two years and helped the team achieve its best ever performance at the 2018 World Championships.

Ellie Black wins sixth Canadian all-around title at 2019 Canadian Championships
OTTAWA, ON (May 26, 2019) – Ellie Black of Halifax, NS captured her sixth Canadian senior all-around crown at the 2019 Artistic Gymnastics Canadian Championships at Carleton University on Sunday. Ana Padurariu of Whitby, ON captured the silver, while Brooklyn Moors of Cambridge, ON took the bronze.
Zakutney uses hometown advantage to claim first senior title at 2019 Artistic Gymnastics Canadian Championships
OTTAWA, ON (May 25, 2019) – Sam Zakutney of Ottawa, ON used his hometown advantage to capture his first-ever senior all-around (AA) title on Saturday night during the 2019 Artistic Gymnastics Canadian Championships at the Carleton University Fieldhouse. Félix Dolci of Laval, QC took the junior men’s AA title.
Katherine Uchida crowned 2019 Canadian Senior Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion
MARKHAM, ON (May 19, 2019) – Katherine Uchida of Toronto, ON laid down four fantastic routines to sweep the individual apparatus podiums and claim her first all-around (AA) senior title on the final day of competition at the 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Canadian Championships at the Markham Pan Am Centre on Sunday. Michel Vivier of Vaughn, ON captured the Junior AA title.
Garcia and Vivier lead senior and junior qualifiers at 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Canadian Championships
MARKHAM, ON (May 18, 2019) – Natalie Garcia of Mississauga, ON narrowly placed first in the qualifying rounds of the Senior High Performance (HP) category at the 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics Canadian Championships taking place at the Markham Pan Am Centre in Markham, ON on Saturday. Katherine Uchida from Toronto, the reigning 2019 Elite Canada Senior champion, is sitting just .2 points behind Garcia as they head into the finals tomorrow. Michel Vivier of Vaughn, ON finished comfortably in first in the Junior HP qualifiers.
