Canada’s best artistic gymnasts to converge on Halifax for the 2016 Elite Canada competition
OTTAWA (September 23, 2015) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce that Halifax has been selected as the host city for the 2016 Elite Canada Artistic Gymnastics Competition. The competition will be hosted by Gymnastics Nova Scotia, Halifax Alta Gymnastics Club, Taiso Gymnastics Training Centre, and Titan’s Gymnastics and Trampoline Club and will be held at the Canada Games Centre from February 4th to 7th, 2016.
Megan Roberts wins silver medal at junior gymnastics meet in Japan
YOKOHAMA, Japan, Sept. 23 — Megan Roberts of Toronto won the silver medal in the women’s floor exercise and Ottawa’s Sam Zakutney won bronze in the men’s high bar on Wednesday to cap a strong showing for Canada’s four-member team at a junior gymnastics meet.
Canadian team announced for 2015 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships
OTTAWA, ON (September 17, 2015) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce the names of the athletes, coaches, and support staff headed to the 2015 Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships in Odense, Denmark from November 26th to 29th. This is the first of two qualifying opportunities for the 2016 Olympic Games in trampoline, and a qualifier for the 2017 World Games in the non-Olympic sports of tumbling, double mini-trampoline, and synchronized trampoline.
