Gymnastics Canada nominates thirteen athletes to 2018 Commonwealth Games Team
OTTAWA, ON (February 22, 2018) — Gymnastics Canada is proud to nominate the gymnasts who will represent Canada at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia from April 4-15, 2018. The team is composed of five men’s artistic gymnasts, five women’s artistic gymnasts, and three rhythmic gymnasts.
Meet Our Champions – Patricia Bezzoubenko
Four-time Senior Canadian Rhythmic Gymnastics Champion and five-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Patricia Bezzoubenko recently retired from the sport and was celebrated at the 2018 Elite Canada in Rhythmic Gymnastics. A dual Russian-Canadian citizen, who spent much of her time training in Russia, Patricia is now actively pursuing her University degree and hopes to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of rhythmic gymnastics athletes. We sat down with Patricia last week to reflect on her career.
